Software Engineering student at Victoria University of Wellington.
At Restore Lab until November 2026 · joining Trimble in Christchurch.

I like working across
the whole system.

I'm a third-year Software Engineering student with almost three years of hands-on experience building backend data pipelines and geospatial services with Python.

My work spans ingestion, database design, infrastructure and deployment. I like following a system all the way through, from compressed binary data to something people can map, compare or act on. In November 2026, I'll join Trimble's Field Systems Cloud team in Christchurch.

What I've been
working on.

My recent work has involved data pipelines, infrastructure and geospatial systems. From November 2026, that will continue with Trimble's Field Systems Cloud team.

Software Engineer Intern

Trimble · Field Systems, Cloud Software · Christchurch

Starting with the Field Systems Foundation team, working on the core engineering services and tools used to provision and operate systems in the public cloud.

  • Infrastructure as Code with Terraform
  • Automation for deployment, monitoring, observability and maintenance
  • Scalable and reliable cloud infrastructure and network systems

Software Engineer Intern

Restore Lab Ltd · Wellington

Built and maintained a GCP data-processing pipeline orchestrated with Kubernetes, then led its transition onto self-hosted infrastructure.

  • Kafka messaging across pipeline stages
  • Raw binary data to mapped soil moisture and flood inundation outputs
  • Custom GeoServer processes and PostgreSQL schema design

Student Tutor

Victoria University of Wellington

Running engineering and computer science labs and supporting assignment marking across ENGR101, COMP102 and ENGR110.

KiwiCart

Grocery price comparison and multi-store route planning for New Zealand shoppers.

KiwiCart collects pricing data from major supermarkets into PostgreSQL, matches equivalent products across stores, and generates three shopping routes: cheapest, quickest, and a hybrid of both.
